This 1950 Olds Rocket 88 business coupe was purchased in Loveland Colorado in February of 1998. During the following year, the car was sent to Mainstreet Mortorsports of New Milford Connecticut to be transformed into a period 1950 NASCAR. Adhering to strict 50's regulations, the car was meticulously converted to its current specifications, which are listed below. Aside from multiple car-show victories, the car has yet to see competition, but it will soon be introduced to the world of vintage racing and rallying.
Car Specifications
  • Engine: Original 303 cu.in Rocket 88, modified with new pistons, cam, rods, valve train, oil pump, water pump, 4 bbl. carburetor, electronic 12 volt ignition. Engine was built by Speed Parts Center, Elmsford, New York.

  • Trans: Muncie M-12 4 speed.

  • Suspension: H.D. springs, sway bar, H.D. Knee action shocks

  • Safety: 4 point roll bar w/ removable down tube

  • Brakes: Drum, Carbon-Kevlar shoes

  • Tires/Wheels: 235/70x15 - V rated on 15x7 steel wheels
